I've visited Brussels many times, but I love it every single time. There's something calming about the place, something I understand. It is filled with hidden beauties and golden details. Grand Place, as seen above, is one of my favorite places. It is almost as if it ressembled some sort of Agora from Ancient Greece.
While in Brussels, I found many many wall art all around the city. There were so many various pieces of grafitti with maps to the nearest others. Brussels is known for their comic books and the city started embracing their love for it. My ultimite favorite remains the Tintin comic books.
Beer, fries and waffles are a must. You cannot say you've visited Brussels if you haven't had these three items. Their most famous fries come from La Maison Antoine and let me tell you they are worth it. This stand is located right beside a bar where they match your purchase of fries to some amazing beer. I would say it is definitely a must-see.
If you have the chance to, I would also recommend visiting Brugge. It is a medival city an hour or so from Brussels. It is simply beautiful. They have a canal that passes through the city with old buildings and churches. They also hold a little market on Wednesdays. Brugge is quite a contrast to Brussels, but is definitely worth the train ride.
